The members of the Hezekiah Alexander Homesite Docent Association help support the mission of The Charlotte Museum of History.

On a tour at the Hezekiah Alexander Homesite

The Hezekiah Alexander Homesite, the oldest surviving house in Mecklenburg County, NC, is open to the public for tours and programs throughout the year. The docent association supports the educational program offerings of the Museum. Association members also support each other as lifelong learners by way of sharing information, individual research, networking within the historic community, and peer education.

If you are interested in becoming involved as a member of our docent group, getting started is easy!  Simply fill out the interest form on the Get Involved page, and a Museum staff member will contact you soon.

Thank you for your interest.  Take a few minutes and look at some of the great photos of programs at the Museum and Homesite!

The Charlotte Museum of History and Hezekiah Alexander Homesite are located at 3500 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC  28215 * 704/568-1774 * 704/566-1817 (fax)     www.charlottemuseum.org
